Ward L8

L8 is a 25 bedded ward with one consultant (Dr Staniland).


We are currently a SCAPE ward and have achieved this for three consecutive years. 


L8 were shortlisted for the Nursing Times award in October 2013 for care of patients with Dementia in a ward setting.


We are also involved in Quality Improvement collaboratives such as 

  • Acute Kidney Injury, 
  • Patient Relative and Carer Experience and 
  • Improving Nutrition in End of Life Care.
