Clinical Immunology Service

A service for patients with immunodeficiency and allergies. Patients with suspected or diagnosed immunodeficiency (excluding immunodeficiency secondary to HIV) are managed by the team

 

Salford Royal provides a comprehensive Clinical Immunology service and is a key hospital in the North West for seeing patients with Immunodeficiency and Allergy.

 

There are approximately 600 patients in the North West area who come under that remit with varying degrees of intervention requirements under the care of the department.

 

Adults with suspected immune deficiencies are seen within the Clinical Immunology clinics.

 

There are no admitting facilities for Immunology. Any patient who requires in-patient admission to Salford Royal will usually be admitted under the medical on call team with advice and support from the Clinical Immunology team.
